First, a little background. I am a popcorn fanatic. I don't just like popcorn, I LOVE it! Imagine my surprise when two fairly large boxes were delivered to my home via FedEx. Turns out that my wife had purchased the Deluxe 4oz Red Popcorn Maker Machine by Paramount Entertainment. It was too large to discretely put under the tree, so I opened it. The base comes in one carton and the popper in another. All items were very well packaged in sturdy containers. This was my first indication that this company takes pride in their products. Unpacking the top popper unit was a snap. Everything was well protected. The whole unit is well constructed. The popping kettle is heavy weight. The stirring rod and kettle support are easy to install and you're ready to go. Of course I had to pop the first batch to snack on while I assembled the cart. My wife also purchased a supply of pop corn. (Case (24) of 4 Ounce Great Northern Popcorn Portion Packs) I did read the manual and the first batch popped up tender and fluffy in just a couple of minutes.

The cart is very easy to assemble. I was very impressed with the components of the cart. Square tubular steel. Bicycle, spoked type wheels and #14 metric machine bolts. Wow, you don't see these materials much any more.

The entire unit looks great, works even better. It is easy to use. If you love popcorn, you will love this unit. The size is great. The top unit could easily sit on a counter or bar top without using the cart. The cart provides alot of storage for extra popping supplies, theater type popcorn boxes or bags and a roll of paper towels.

Cleanup is quick and easy.

I want to emphasize, this is not a toy popcorn machine! It is well built with safety in mind and has a full 5 year warranty.

Pro: Professional, well made, small footprint, pops great corn and keeps it hot, good price

Con: My wife read a review about this machine which said that the 4 oz. kettle was more than adequate for popcorn lovers. Paramount also sells machines with a 6 oz. kettle and an 8 oz. kettle. We both wish that we could pop a bit more corn at one time, but then popping it is half the fun! Rating: 5 / 5

My wife gave me this machine for Christmas, although she made me do all of the research on the internet. THIS IS A GREAT MACHINE!! It is very well made, its easy to assemble and a snap to use and clean. I highly recommend this machine to anyone who likes theater style popcorn and likes to impress their kids or grandkids. I am now a hero to all of my grandkids and even a few friends that come over to watch movies every now and then. You can't go wrong with this machine(It also looks cool sitting in my den next to the TV)!

It might be nice to have heating coils instead of just a heat lamp to keep the popped corn hot, but if this is important to you, get the six ounce model for only a few dollars more. Usually, we eat it so fast that it doesn't matter.

My four ounce model pops enough corn for four people with each popping and you can pop another kettle full imediately if you need more. The six year warrenty is great, but this machine is so well made that I don't believe that I will need it. Rating: 5 / 5

I just bought this. It came really quickly in 2 boxes, cart and popper. Assembly was required. The packaging was very good and the boxes mailed well. I wanted to get this going so I did not wait for my husband to put it together and did it myself, I am 42 and never put anything together. It was very simple. The directions were clear and the bolts were put in labeled bags and easy to identify where they go. It took like 1/2 hour to put together, and I am slow so anyone with any mechanical aptitude will do this effortlessly. It is 5 feet 7 and perfect size for any home theater. It is well made and I like that the base of the cart is a storage area. It came with a plastic large scoop and some measuring spoons. I got the black one and it is so decorative. After much internet searching I decided to get the megapop popcorn kits that have the coconut oil, flavacol salt and popcorn (currently not available at amazon). It is all premeasured. It tasted just like movie theater popcorn with that buttery yellow corn. Too me it was a bit too salty but the rest of the family thought it was perfect. So, all I did was take out some of the salt flavoring from the popcorn side and that solved my problem. It made like a large movie theater bucket size in a packet in just a few minutes. Again no added salt was needed and no added butter was needed. I was going to add some but the family said the popcorn was perfect. Also it was very easy to clean. There are holes on the bottom for the loose kernels to fall into a drawer and the unused popcorn stays warm under the heater for when you go for seconds. I am so happy with it I cant tell you.

I wrote a review for the popper alone as well but I bought this one with the cart so the information is the same so I will copy and paste that here for those you want a review on this:

I bought this popcorn maker about a year ago ( I also bought a cart with mine). I cant tell you how much I love it and everyone who visits me loves it. Well it came really quick and was packaged well and nothing broke or missing. I am not someone who can fix things and could not wait to use and assembled the cart myself instead of waiting for my husband. If I can do it, anyone can. So that is just in case you get the cart which also has a a nice decoration and storage area. Anyway, this thing is easy to clean. I see they sell stuff to clean it but that is not needed at all. Of course, I clean mine after every use so there is no buildup, Just wipe it down with soapy dishwater and then I windex it, done in 5 minutes. Six ounce makes a lot of popcorn. I bought the small square boxes and I fill 7 of those with one popping. So if you want to make smaller batches you can get some 4 oz popcorn packets. However, the popcorn tastes great cold too. I buy megapop corn/oil/salt kit (2836). When I first got it I got extra salt and the butter topping but that was a waste of money and I never used it. That popcorn makes perfect theater popcorn just like the movies by itself, the yellow buttery salty great flavored popcorn, nothing else needed believe me! Also warm your machine for 4 minutes and follow the directions on the popcorn package not your machine package to get the most kernels popped. After it finishes popping stir the popcorn putting in bags or whatever you use as it seems the first 1/3 out is the most buttery and just mix it to even that out. I also bought some popcorn bags on ebay for like 1000 for 20 bucks and I get my popcorn from Home Theater Express. Delivery fast there and popcorn kept cold and when you sign up online they always have discounts. You have to keep the popcorn packets in a cool place cuz you dont want the oil side to melt (messy). I cant tell you how much we love this popper. I highly suggest you to buy it and follow my advice to make perfect home theater popcorn right in your own home.

It is very sturdy, easy to move around, the base is a storage unit and holds a lot. I came with a popcorn scoop and some measuring cups which are not needed as I buy the popcorn packets buy if you buy bulk popcorn supplies will come in handy. There is a little shelf on the side, I put movie theater box candy piled up on there but can use it for anything.

This was a gift for our nephew and wife for their new home theater. It was perfect. The popcorn is excellant. The reason it’s at 4 stars instead of five is there are a lot of parts to clean after using. They cleaned up really well without a problem, but it might discourage some from using it. Not us though!! It came in excellant condition and no trouble assembling and using.

I ordered this popper for my husband for home use. I was extremely disappointed when I opened the box. It seemed very cheap. I decided to send it back…..but wait. It’s my fault for not reading their return policy but if the box has been opened, they charge a 20% restocking fee. Even if nothing was used. I got the cart also and it was never taken out of the box but opened to look at. When I emailed the company and told them that I would like to return it because it was “too small for our needs” they suggested that I pop additional batches or regift it. They did refund my money promptly less the 20% and shipping. We have since purchased a commercial brand and are much happier but we did pay much more so lesson learned.

This book provides basic inside into owning a restaurant. It gives a description of the many parts a reastaurateur has to tackle. It does not go into massive detail about the business, is more like an introduction about it. I recommend this book to people who are interested in starting a restaurant or small café but are just starting to learn about it (like me). For those who have some experience in the restaurant sector this book can be more like quick review. I gave it three stars because even though the book provided good info it didn’t when into depth about the subject as i would like to. But in general is a good book to start to explore your options. (the updated edition)
